Dr. Jeffrey Wison, Assistant Principal

Dr. Jeffrey Wilson

Hi, I am Dr. Jeffrey Wilson, originally from Greenville, North Carolina. While growing up in Greenville, I began my educational journey through the Pitt County School System where I graduated from Ayden-Grifton High School in 2009. In 2014, I graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College (University) of Rocky Mount with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. I also attended Shaw University and Gardner-Webb University, earning a Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in School Administration, respectively. Lastly, I earned a Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty University in May of 2021.

Prior to my current role, I taught Career and Technical Education at Greene County Middle School, seventh grade math at Woodington Middle School, and I had the wonderful opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Hertford County Middle School. At the present time, I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as an Assistant Principal at Hertford County High School.

I believe that learning can be achieved by every student in the classroom, and that students should be challenged, engaged, and prepared to excel. All in all, I believe in the power of learning and hold true to the quote by John C. Maxwell that says that "students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." I am looking forward to an amazing school year at Hertford County High School!
