Social Studies
The Social Studies Department of HCHS teaches World History, Civics & Economics, American History I and II, as well as African American History. The department focuses on teaching civic responsibility, patriotism and building productive 21st Century citizens.
Mr. Hermea Pugh
Mr. Pugh graduated from Wake Tech Community and Chowan University. He has four scholars. Mr. Pugh is the Head Coach of our JV Football team and Head coach of the girls'JV girls basketball team.
